I feel like all I have done this week is talk about the baby. . .  Not that it's a bad thing. :)

On Monday, I informed the rest of the staff that we were expecting.  I placed an enlarged version of our Valentine's Day card, along with a couple arrows to "look closely" at the picture and "Baby Cooper is due in July," in our staff room.  I also included a bowl of blue and pink salt water taffy. . .  teachers always love treats. :)  This was such an easy way to tell the staff without having to make a big announcement at a meeting and it eliminated the repetitive conversations.

Then, on Wednesday I told my students.  Before reading our morning message, I told them I had something exciting to share.  After a couple questions it was very easy to redirect them so we didn't linger on the topic too long.   The students were so excited and they all wanted to know when they would meet the baby.  On Thursday one of my ELL students told me "Congratulations on having a baby."  It was so sweet and I was so proud of her English.  Not so sweet, pointing to my stomach all day and saying "you're having a baby."  She then later informed me that she thinks I am having a girl. . .

It finally happened.  Wednesday morning I woke up and remembered one of my dreams.  I don't remember my dreams too often but, I certainly remembered this one.  Jon and I are planning on going to Maui next year for my mid-winter break and in my dream we brought a beautiful BABY GIRL with us!  I finally had a baby dream and it seems as though all the signs are pointing to this little one being a girl . . . Jon thinks it's a girl, baby dream says girl, and my student thinks I'm having a girl.  I guess it's time to rethink my predication . . .  this week I'll say girl.  But, we will have to wait until July to find out! :)

P.S. Thank you for all of the kind words, well wishes and overall excitement that has been shared.   We feel so blessed to have such a wonderful group and family and friends supporting us throughout this journey.  We can't wait to share the joy when our little one arrives this summer.   Thank you!
