14 Weeks

How far along? 14 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 4.5 pounds
Maternity clothes? Not maternity . . . but I did buy some new tops this week.
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: I slept great . . . but Jon says I was up coughing every night this week.
Miss anything: We went to a martini bar this weekend and I felt slightly left out :(
Movement: Not yet (this seems to be the question of the week)
Food cravings: Chicken soup and tea since I wasn't feeling that great.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Barbecue sauce gives me horrible indigestion and I only lasted about 30 seconds in Abercrombie before I had to leave the store.
Have you started to show yet: I still look chubby but in the afternoon it looks more like a bump.
Gender Prediction: Boy, but Jon says Girl
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy :)
Best Moment of the Week: Lots this week . . . See below for some highlights.
Looking forward to: Starting to plan the nursery

Busy, Busy Week . . . Here are some of the highlights:

Monday:  I learned some of my dress pants can't remain buttoned throughout the day.  Sadly the belly band I have is still too big for me right now.  It's the smallest size but I'm still too petite.  I guess some pants will have to remain in the closet until I can wear the band or until next school year.

Tuesday:  Prepared to talk with my principal I arrived at school only to remember she was at a meeting all day.  So, I delivered our Valentine's Day card to my kindergarten team.  I loved observing their reactions while they looked at the card.  It was so similar to what many of our friends and family have told us over the phone.  We love the delayed realization regarding our "plus one."

Wednesday:  This week I got my first cold.  I knew I would eventually get something.  It's impossible to stay 100% healthy with 4-5 kiddos out sick each day. :(  I sounded horrible, but luckily I felt fine.  I was staying hydrated, taking it easy, and getting an extra hour of sleep each night  . . . or so I thought.  Jon told me that every night this week I was up coughing all. night. long.  Ooops!  Sorry babe . .  .

Thursday: aka my Friday.  I have a busy work week coming up and I was ready for the weekend!  On the weekend agenda . . . deciding how to tell the rest of the staff that I am expecting . ? . ?

Friday:  Today we had our 14 week appointment.  We finally met our doctor (at our last appointments he was either delivering a baby or out of town).  So far our pregnancy has been fairly easy, so we didn't have too many questions or concerns.  We did however get the results from our 12 week testing.  Our baby is absolutely healthy and we couldn't be happier.  At the end of the appointment we had  an opportunity to take a quick look at baby Cooper.  Baby was sleeping upside down so our picture isn't that great.  The nurse tried to get him to wake up and move a bit, but Jon blames my coughing for keeping him up all night.  Guess it's a good thing I'm not feeling any movement yet.

After our appointment we headed up to Bellingham for the evening.  I was so excited to support my sister-in-law during opening night of her show "Hello, My Name is You."  The show was fabulous and she was absolutely amazing!  Her passion and dedication was inspiring.  What a great way to end the week.
