Baby Shower #2

On Saturday, June 22nd my sister-in-law Christina hosted my Bellingham baby shower.  We were hoping for nice weather so we could spend the afternoon outside at the Rittmueller's home, we learned to be careful what we wish for.  The weather was beautiful, but it ended up being a little too warm.  Regardless, the afternoon was relaxing and Christina did a wonderful job planning and hosting the shower.   I was so thankful to spend the day with family and friends celebrating baby Cooper :)

Here are a few pictures from the afternoon. . .

{Christina, Me and Nicole}

{Opening some gifts . . . I was glad to have lots of little helpers}

{A couple shower games . . . everyone was so serious}

What a wonderful afternoon!  We are ready for baby Cooper to meet us and all of our wonderful friends and family.  Thank you to everyone who was a part of the day.

33 Weeks

How far along? 33 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 25 pounds . . . I don't think I'll stay below my goal weight :(
Maternity clothes? I wore a maxi dress almost every day this week . . . or my gaucho pants.  Although a little outdated, they are so comfy and I am so happy I saved them a few years ago.
Stretch marks? Not yet.
Sleep: Sleeping great!
Symptoms: See below :)
Miss anything: My traditional spring/summer wardrobe . . . especially heels and wedges.
Movement: Lots of pressure and kicking my ribs.
Food cravings: Still obsessed with fruit. . . frozen fruit, fruit smoothies, fresh fruit
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender Prediction: Boy
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? Still in . . . but very flat.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Best Moment of the Week: Our doctor telling us that he will be surprised if I make it to my due date
Looking forward to: Having a few months to focus on baby.  I have been so busy with school that baby hasn't been the focus.  Luckily in about 3 days I will be able to focus on putting the finishing touches on the nursery, installing our car seat, taking a couple baby classes, packing our hospital bag and starting to plan our baby announcements.

Baby Update:
This week I had my 33 week appointment.  Everything is still going smoothly but, it looks like baby Cooper is starting to think about his or her arrival.  Baby has already turned (which is why I have been feeling like I'm getting kicked in the ribs), and the doctor told us to be prepared starting on July 3rd.  After the 3rd they will no longer stop labor and he thinks it will be very unlikely that I actually make it to my due date.  For first time parents only 10% of babies are early, 5% are born on their due date and 85% of first babies are late.  He expects baby Cooper to be born anytime after the 15th.  Eeek!

Stretch marks? Not yet.
Sleep: It was a phase! I am sleeping great again.
Symptoms: Braxton Hicks, and some rib pain
Miss anything: Standing on a ladder and moving furniture. . . I hate not being about to pack up my classroom without lots of help

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender Prediction: Boy . . . all the silly wives' tales agree.
Labor Signs: None

Best Moment of the Week: I had such a  fun week at work, it's hard to choose a best moment.
  • Our Kindergarten Celebration - The kids did such a great job singing and the slideshow turned out so cute
  • My Baby Shower - It was so sweet of the staff to find time in their  busy schedules to celebrate baby Cooper
  • Field Day - What an exhausing day! Their shirts turned out so cute and our class won Peel the Snack and Tug-o'-War!

Looking forward to: June 20th (My first day of summer vacation).  I have been so busy lately and it will be nice to have some down time before the baby arrives.

Baby Shower

 On Saturday, June 1st my dear friend Jacqueline hosted my first baby shower.  It was such a beautiful day and I was so thankful to spend the day with family and friends celebrating baby Cooper :)

Here are a few pictures from the afternoon. . .

 {guess the due date and gender . . . we'll see who wins}

{How cute are these gingham outfits?!?!?  Jacqueline made them all out of paper.  They match the outfits I have been obsessed with from Gap}

{My least favorite part of any shower in my honor . . . opening gifts.  I hate being the center of attention.  Luckily I had a couple helpers who took the focus away from me.  Thanks Raian and Harper for all of your help!}

{Jacqueline and Me . . . what a wonderful hostess!}

{Like mother, like daughter . . . loving all the blue}

What a wonderful afternoon!  Baby Cooper is certainly going to be spoiled :)  Thank you to everyone who was a part of the day.
