Maternity Pictures

We owe a HUGE thank you to Jon's twin sister Christina for spending Saturday afternoon with us taking maternity pictures.  It started out as a very windy afternoon and we almost decided to wait and take pictures on Sunday instead.  Luckily the weather cooperated and we got some great photos on Saturday.  Sunday on the other hand didn't work out . . . we had planned on going to Western to take some pictures but it rained almost the entire day :(

 Watch the video below to see a few of our favorites :)

30 Weeks

How far along? 30 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 23 pounds . . .  I gained 2 pounds in just 2 days this week :(
Maternity clothes? This weekend  I wore my jeans for the last time . . . I'm ready for the sun to come back so I can wear more dresses again.
Stretch marks? None yet!
Sleep: I'm still sleeping great but, laying is bed is not as comfortable anymore.
Symptoms: I'm getting sore.  I know it will only get worse as I continue to grow, but my upper body aches on a daily basis and my ribs are starting to feel the pressure now.
Miss anything: Weighing 23 pounds less. . . I'm not fond of carrying all of this extra weight.
Movement: I think the baby know when I'm almost home.  It seems like the minute I turn on our road, it starts to kick more frequently.
Food cravings: Frozen Fruit. . . I found some frozen whole fruit bars at Trader Joe's that were perfect. :)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope
Gender Prediction: Boy
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? Still in . . . but very flat.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy!
Best Moment of the Week: Spending the afternoon with Christina (Jon's twin) taking our maternity photos.
Looking forward to: Editing our photos and printing a few for the nursery.   It's almost done! :)

29 Weeks

{ A couple notes }
1. Wow! Can you believe how much I have grown in 10 weeks?!?  I can't imagine what I will look like at 39 weeks. . .
2. I am so glad I am getting my hair done on Friday :)

How far along? 29 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 20 pounds
Maternity clothes? My maternity pants finally fit . . . dark pink capris that Jon cannot stand.
Stretch marks? No stretch marks but, I broke some blood vessels around my knee. . . Eww!
Sleep: I was exhausted this week and I slept a lot.
Symptoms: We painted our kitchen this weekend and I spent too much time with my legs bent/crossed.  Sadly I now have some broken blood vessels around my knee. :(
Miss anything: Speedy movement . . . apparently I now take a deep breath before sitting up.
Movement: Lots of moving this week.  I think our baby likes Miranda Lambert. :)
Food cravings: Breakfast pastries . . . pancakes, waffles, donuts, croissants.   Luckily I haven't given into any of these cravings this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Thai food. . . I had some sweet and sour tofu that made my tummy upset.
Gender Prediction: Boy
Labor Signs: Not yet
Belly Button in or out? Still in
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: I was exhausted, but happy.
Best Moment of the Week: Finding my outfits for our maternity pictures next week.
Looking forward to:  Memorial Day Weekend.  Jon has a run in Bellevue Saturday morning, then we are headed up to Bellingham for the rest of the weekend.  I can't believe I haven't been up there since Christmas!

28 Weeks

How far along? 28 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 19 pounds
Maternity clothes? Sadly I can see the end is near for my non-maternity bottoms . . . on a happier note I'm starting to wear some of the tops my co-worker gave me. :)
Stretch marks? Not yet. . .
Sleep: Sleeping great!
Symptoms: I'm needing to take more breaks and it is taking longer to accomplish tasks.  So glad the nursery and kitchen are almost done!
Miss anything: Being able to sit comfortably in school chairs.  The kindergarten mini chairs are the worst!
Movement: Still kicking . . . luckily I'm not getting elbowed yet.
Food cravings: No food cravings but, I have been obsessed with Lemonade this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick: The smell of sausage cooking . . . we were at Costco this weekend and I couldn't handle the smell of it. Yuck!
Gender Prediction: Boy
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? Still in
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: I was exhausted, but happy this week!

27 Weeks

{ Due to the b-e-a-u-tiful weather this weekend I have not drawn my chalkboard yet . . . therefore no picture yet.  To fill the space I have posted a picture from Jon's swearing in this past Friday.}

{ from left: Jacqueline, Lilly, Jon, Beth }
How far along? 27 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 18 pounds
Maternity clothes? Maxi skirts and dresses almost everyday.
Stretch marks? I thought I had one, turns out it was just a vein.
Sleep: Sleeping great but I have been waking up at 5:30 or 6 everyday.  . . perfect for work, not so perfect on the weekend.
Symptoms: It is becoming more difficult to get in and out of cars, out of bed or off the sofa.
Miss anything: Being able to work outside all day. . . I had to take so many breaks this weekend {bathroom, water, snack, repeat}
Movement: Lots of moving around this week.  The baby has found the perfect place to lay . . . on my bladder.
Food cravings: Smoothies.  With the warmer weather I have been craving a tropical fruit smoothie almost everyday.  Too bad I can't make them at work. :(
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week.
Gender Prediction: Boy
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: I was Happy this week . . . . :)
Best Moment of the Week: One of my co-workers heard that my closet was quickly shrinking, so she generously brought me an enormous bag of tops.  They are all Mediums so they are still a little big, but they will be perfect later this spring.
Looking forward to: Going to Chinatown on Tuesday.  We are taking 60 Kindergarteners to Chinatown since we are currently on our imaginary trip to China.  Jon is volunteering in case I am feeling particularly pregnant that day.
