Why yes, we are registered . . .

This past week numerous people have began to inquire about our baby registry.  We have started a registry and we are still updating it as we research brands, items, etc.  However, below you will find the links to the websites.  Just click on the company name and it should pull up our registry.  We are currently registered at two places.

Target }
They are convenient and they sell a bunch of the basics.

 { Amazon }
There are so many brand specific items we like and Amazon was a common website that sells many of them.  Plus they often offer shipping!

*** If some reason the Amazon link doesn't work you can find our baby registry under the "Wish List" tab.

Looking forward to: Going to California next month.  I can't wait to relax and enjoy some warmer weather!

{Not the best picture . . . the ultrasound tech had to work to get pictures this week.}

Sneak Peek: Baby C's Closet

Although we aren't finding out the gender of little baby cooper . . . that doesn't mean I can't do a little shopping.  It's a good thing we don't know because I am obsessed with Gap's spring collection right now!  The little girl dresses and rompers are beyond adorable and the little boy gingham, polos, shorts, well everything is so preppy.  I can't get enough of it! :)

one - two - three - four - five

one - two - three - four - five - six

Back to reality, I have begun looking for coming home outfits as well as other miscellaneous gender neutral pieces that I know our little one can't. live. without. :)

As many Washingtonians know, summer usually doesn't begin until July 5th.  So with the little one arriving at the end of the July we should be able to expect beautiful weather . . . however, with our baby due so close to our wedding anniversary I can't help but remember the weather during our rehearsal.  On July 31st, 2008 it was pouring down rain and I was cold. . . like wearing a scarf and freezing in my dress cold.  With that in mind I want to be prepared . . . cold rainy weather or beautiful sunny weather.  So far I have a couple options for mild weather but, I know that if this baby is anything like it's parents it is going to have way too many clothes . . . ;)

*How cute is this bundler?!?  I fell in love with it after our friend's daughter donned it this fall/winter.  I have been waiting for it to go on sale for months.

Sneak Peek: Nursery

The nursery is on hold until we have the carpet installed at the beginning of April.  I am also waiting to hang pictures and shelving on the wall until after we pick out a comfy white chair.  So . . . until those two things occur, I am not going to do a nursery tour.  :(   To tide you over, here is a sneak peek of the nursery.

This is our inspiration for the nursery.  I have been in love with this Pottery Barn nursery forever.  Since we aren't finding out the gender I wanted it to stay very neutral, so I consulted Pinterest.  After the baby is born we are going to add in accents of pink or navy blue.

This is NOT our crib.  Our crib still needs to be painted white, currently it is brown.  But, this is our bedding and similar wall color.  Just to give you an idea.  :)

  I have been collecting books for our baby.  Some of the classics and some cute board books.  Right now they are in a basket or in the closet, but I love this display from Martha Stewart.  I'm thinking it would work behind the door.

This is my changing table from when I was a baby. . . it was brown.  I refinished it last summer when I could still paint.  I don't think we will use it as a changing table since we have a large window seat in the bedroom.  I like the idea of having a surface to place miscellaneous things . . . such as a fan or humidifier (which is currently in our bedroom since I have been sick this week).  I am planning on hanging pictures above it but I am waiting until we get the chair.  It is going directly to the right of this table and I would hate to get the pictures centered just to move them because the chair is slightly larger/smaller than we expected.

 This past summer we picked up the vintage alphabet bunting from the Bellingham Farmers Market.  We fell in love with it and knew it would fit our design scheme.  Funny thing, we bought it from one of Jon's old neighbors who told a family friend about the purchase . . . needless to say it caused some summer speculation.  Nope, we're just planners. :)  The crib is going to centered on this wall.

That's it for now. . . I'll post an update after we get the carpet, hang some things on the walls and pick out a chair.  It's coming together and we can't wait until it is occupied by baby Cooper.  Hope he or she likes it!

Maternity clothes? This week I wore a lot of skirts and dresses . . . yay for warmer weather!
Stretch marks? None
Sleep: I have been getting a solid 9 hours of sleep each night this week!
Miss anything: Painting. . . with warmer weather comes home improvements.  I usually paint and I am having a hard time not picking up a paint brush to tackle the guest room, trim and crib. :(
Movement: I don't think so. . . I feel a lot of pressure though.
Food cravings: No cravings this week but, my eating habits are finally going back to what they used to be.  Veggies, Fruits, yogurt, iced decaf lattes.  Not so many carbs anymore!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing this week! :)
Have you started to show yet: Yep, there's no hiding it now
Gender Prediction: I'm sticking with boy. . .  although I bought an adorable hat that is a little girly, but works for either.
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy . . . but I have my moody moments if I skip a snack.
Best Moment of the Week: The random baby conversations I had throughout the week. . .  talking about babies is much more fun than report cards or planning. :)
Looking forward to: New carpet so I can finish decorating the nursery.  I haven't worked on it since mid-winter break because everything will be moving to install the carpet.  T-minus 3 weeks!

Best Moment of the Week:  Receiving an unexpected maternity care package. :)
Looking forward to: Still waiting for that first little flutter. . .

Longest week ever!  After having a week off to relax, it was back to the work routine.  Report Cards and conferences are coming up in a couple weeks so I am in full assessment mode.  There are so many assessments and in Kindergarten a lot of them are one-on-one.  Luckily my kids' reading stamina has increased so finding the time to assess is a lot easier this trimester.

Highlight of the Week:  This week the students were sharing about what they wanted to be when they grow up.  One of my students wants to be a zoo keeper.  So, he brought in a baby shark in a glass jar.  Well needless to say the glass jar ended up shattered on the floor.  Nasty fish water is certainly an overpowering scent . . . Yuck!

On Thursday I came home to an unexpected package.   One of my dear friends sent me a maternity care package.  It was so sweet and thoughtful.  I have been loving my new pair of lululemon pants.  They are so much more comfortable than all my other pairs . . . that are a wee bit tight. :(  Guess it's time to finally admit I'm putting on a little weight.  Oh and that candy in the care package didn't help in the weight gain department but, it sure was yummy!

BAGEL BITES . . .  I have not had Bagel Bites in over 10 years.  But, for some reason on Friday night they sounded delicious.  I have no clue why they popped into my mind as a yummy snack, but once the thought was there I wanted to make some.  However, there was no way I was going to buy the processed version from the freezer aisle.  So, I consulted my dear friend Pinterst.  :)  While searching for an easy bagel recipe I remembered that a friend of mine had made bagels last year.  So, I popped over to her blog and grabbed the recipe {Check it out here}.  Saturday morning I woke up and made some mini bagels.

Then, after running some errands I made homemade Bagel Bites for lunch.  My bagel making skills certainly need some work, but my craving was curbed and I got to enjoy some bite size bagel pizzas. :)
